Sundara Kitchen
An in-house concept for launching a new restaurant — building local buzz before opening night, not just after.
The Challenge
A new restaurant usually has one real shot at a strong opening week — after that, the buzz either exists or it doesn't. Waiting until the doors open to start talking about it is too late.
The Idea
Start the story before the kitchen even opens. Use the diagonal "table edge" motif from the identity as a recurring frame for behind-the-scenes content, so people feel like they're getting a preview, not an advertisement.
Creative Direction
A warm teal and dark-teal palette that reads as fresh rather than corporate, with the "S" mark doubling as both a logo and a plating motif that shows up in food photography compositions.
Execution
A short pre-launch teaser series, a menu photography direction built around the plating motif, an opening-week social push, and a simple in-store signage concept that carries the identity from screen to table.
Concept Outcome
The intended result is a reusable pre-launch-to-opening-week content calendar that any new restaurant launch could follow, rather than a scramble to post something the day the doors open.
